Pattern 263 Profile Spot - Cutaway  (1965)

Strand Pattern 263 Profile spotlight, in production 1963 to 1976. The first modern Profile; with its bifocal brother the Pattern 264, it quickly became the standard front of house lighting instrument in professional theatre worldwide. The package of compact, efficient and controllable light was irresistible. It was launched in Blitz! at the Adelphi Theatre.
This cutaway formed part of a memorable foyer display at Strand Electric HQ, King Street, London, circa 1965
