Brian was apprenticed to Strand Electric in 1950 and describes his life’s work there as Support Engineer and technical author. In retirement he is a highly-regarded and profoundly knowledgeable theatre archaeologist.

Brian first worked on A Streetcar Named Desire (Aldwych Theatre, opened October 12 1949, directed by Laurence Olivier).

He recalls installing the last Light Console, and the 1st System CD (Palace Theatre) at the same time.
