1929 – Started Century Lighting, at 351 West 52nd Street, New York City on 10 August 1929, in partnership with Edward Kook

The Century ellipsoidal (profile) was known as the ‘Lekolite’ or ‘Leko‘ (‘Levy’ and ‘Kook’) and was the dominant profile in American theatre for years since launching in 1933.
