F7 Master Brenograph

Effects Projector
From Ian Grey:
"The Brenograph F7 was used to project slides and coloured moving effects at cinemas. Fitted with a pair of carbon arc lamphouses with precision mirrors to align the beams.
The Paramount chain included a Brenograph in their 1930s equipped boxes and the Odeon Leicester Square  had one certainly until the 1990s.
I first encountered an F7 tucked away under a metal escape stair in the corner of the Newcastle Odeon plenum chamber, where it had been moved to make way for the Cinemation show control system. I was fascinated by the viewing glasses in the lamphouse doors which looked jet black but gave just a hint of red with my torch behind it. I reproduced the experiment with my phone flash set to torch and two small dots can be seen.
The State Cinema in Grays had a Master Brenograph but it was removed by persons unknown at some point after closure."
