Introduced at the Griffith Observatory overlooking Los Angeles in November 1973. The planetarium was host to laser shows by Laserist Ivan Dryer throughout the 1970s, 80s and 90s. The shows ended at the observatory in 2002 when the facility underwent a 3 year modernisation and expansion programme.
